Grameen Bank Announces new Nursing Institute

At the Clinton Global Initiative Annual Meeting in New York City today, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, announced the launch of the Grameen Nurse Institute. It expects to train 1,251 students, reaching 50,000 adolescent girls in rural villages. The Nike Foundation will support the Institute with an initial $2 million in funding over five years.
