GF president discusses Wall Street Journal coverage of microfinance

The Wall Street Journal recently published articles citing problems with microfinance in India and also the future of global investing in microfinance. Noting the tremendous progress of microfinance in India, GF president Alex Counts points out that the microfinance industry had already been working to address the issues raised in the article. He also discusses how accountability measures can further bolster MFIs’ effectiveness.
